Abstract

Objective The aim is to solve the problem that the natural gas hydrate formed in the process of gathering and production of natural gas blocks the pipeline, wellbore and porous media in the formation. Methods A kinetic hydrate inhibitor NADN was synthesized with N-vinyl pyrrolidone (NVP), allyl polyethylene glycol (APEG-1000), dimethyl diallyl ammonium chloride (DMDAAC) and N-hydroxymethyl acrylamide (N-HAM). The optimum synthesis conditions were obtained by single factor experiment. Results The molar ratio of n (NVP), n (DMDAAC), n (N-HAM), n (APEG-1000) was 1∶2∶2∶0.3, reaction temperature was 60 ℃, reaction time was 6 h, and monomer concentration was 35%, the mass of initiator accounts for 0.3% of the total mass of monomer. The structure was consistent with the original design structure by FIRT and ¹H NMR. Conclusions Experiment results showed that when the dosage of inhibitor reaches 1.05%, it showed excellent inhibition effect under the ambient temperature of-18 ℃. The freezing temperature of hydrate could be as low as-7.5 ℃. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
