Abstract

Communication climate is very important as it contributes to the effectiveness and success of an organization. The communication climate of an organization affects the organizational atmosphere with factors that encourage or hinder communication. Providing the communication climate environment in the organization in all its dimensions requires providing job satisfaction effectively. In this study, the effect of organizational communication climate on employees' job satisfaction was analyzed. In addition, the relationship between demographic characteristics of employees and organizational communication and job satisfaction was examined. The study is a survey-based field research. The sample of the study consists of 86 employees working in an enterprise operating in the forest products sector in Mersin and Samsun. The results of the research showed that increasing the level of organizational communication from managers will increase the level of intrinsic satisfaction of employees. When the relationship between demographic data and variables was analyzed, it was found that male and married employees had higher levels of job satisfaction due to external factors. It has been observed that single employees who are paid above the average income level, with more than average years of seniority and with undergraduate education have higher levels of communication climate in all dimensions.
