Abstract
- The article focuses on the complications of pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), specifically vagal nerve injury (VNI) and gastric motility disorders. It reports the investigation of the incidence of VNI and it association with preexisting esophageal vulnerability, as well as the use of electrophysiologic measurements to assess gastric motility before and after the PVI procedure.
