Abstract
- The article focuses on the book "Origins of Moral-Political Philosophy in Early China," which explores the deliberations of normative values in Chinese philosophy during the classical period. It further discusses the challenge of negotiating relationships between personal, familial and political domains; the contestation between humaneness and justice as guiding norms; and the outlier status of Chinese Philosopher Zhuangzi and the Zhuangists advocating for personal freedom.
