Abstract

A copper-catalyzed decarboxylative/dehydrogenative cross-coupling reaction of α-fluoroacrylic acids with silanes has been developed. A wide range of α-fluoroacrylic acids containing many critical functional groups reacted smoothly, giving desired monofluoroalkenyl silanes with excellent E -stereoselectivity. This protocol provides a convenient strategy for accessing monofluoroalkenyl silanes, without using expensive iridium catalysts to prepare the silylborane and without the need for harsh conditions.
