Abstract

AERMOD is a Steady State model that assumes the distribution of emissions in horizontal and vertical directions using a Gaussian concentration distribution. This research aims to determine the distribution pattern and concentration level of Carbon Monoxide (CO) pollutants produced by the Tonasa Cement Factory PLTU chimney. This type of research is a survey using quantitative descriptive methods of field data collection, field data processing, and the procedure of mapping to see the distribution pattern of PLTU exhaust emissions at the research location. The results showed that the dominant emission distribution pattern is directed towards the East to Southeast. The highest hourly level of CO concentration after the release of the PLTU is 4.3699 µg/m3 and has decreased with increasing time. The results of the CO concentration in each model are below the quality standard governed by the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry Number PP.15 of 2019, which states that the quality standard for CO is 550 µg/m3.
