Possible throughput of passenger trains on the accelerated lines of Ukraine.

The article provides an overview of studies on this topic with an analysis of directions, the sequence of stages of implementation of fast lines railway construction and options for switching to the European gauge of 1435 mm [10]. Also presented are works of historical data on the development, construction, implementation and development of fast lines traffic in Europe and the world. The main normative documents regulating the joint work of fast lines traffic of the countries of the commonwealth are considered. Also in the article, calculations are made for the throughput and carrying capacity in the main directions from the city of Kiev, using the existing rolling stock and calculations of the required number of trains in two directions. In conclusion, the current state of railway directions, the possibilities of rational use of the existing infrastructure and rolling stock were studied. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
