Abstract

In Chapter 9, Ghosh turns towards foregrounding the shifting dynamics of colonial exploitation. Aiming to create a decolonial sensibility that could unfold by spontaneously relating to colonial history, Ghosh's vitalist politics exposes both Planetarity and Postcolonial ethics as neoliberal stratagems. Simultaneously, the decolonial sensibility that Ghosh fashions in his book works towards exposing how postcoloniality desires a parasitical engagement with Empire's workings for its own sustainability.
