Abstract

The article focuses on the development of wafer-patterned, permeable, and stretchable liquid metal microelectrodes for implantable bioelectronics. The topics include the challenges of low permeability and high modulus in thin-film substrates, the development of wafer-scale patterning of supersoft and permeable microelectrodes, and the demonstration of chronic biocompatibility and high-resolution mapping in neural interfaces.
