Abstract

Intrinsically stretchable organic optoelectronic devices have been demonstrated for board applications such as tissue-like patches, medical prosthetic apparatus, biomimetic visual system and interactive soft robots. However, there are huge barriers to implementing high-performance intrinsically stretchable organic optoelectronic devices and integrated circuits. In this perspective, a brief overview of recent advances in several significant intrinsically stretchable organic optoelectronic devices and arrays is provided. Furthermore, the overlooked challenges and our viewpoint on the future development of intrinsically stretchable organic optoelectronic technologies are emphasized.
