La musica nel Purgatorio di Dante: proposta per un percorso didattico.

This essay is intended to illustrate a working proposal on the topic of music in Dante’s Purgatory in the context of teaching Italian literature. The topic is addressed with the aim of highlighting how the musical references present in the cantica are not pure ornamental elements but a structural component: they in fact assume an active role in the path of purification of souls.The proposal was drawn up for students in the fourth year of high school; the main aim, therefore, is to help students develop new skills and knowledge, and at the same time refine their previous ones, practising the identification of intertextual and interdisciplinary elements.
