- The article reports on the venture of technology company Apple into the metaverse with the debut of its virtual reality goggles or headset that blend the digital and physical worlds. It informs about the decline in venture capital investments in metaverse-related startups in 2023 compared to 2022 and the layoff of workers at Microsoft and Disney who had been working on metaverse projects. It considers analysts' suggestion for Apple to take an experimental approach to metaverse.
