Duration of acceptable delay until subsequent total body skin examination, given prior history of skin cancer or lesions suspicious for skin cancer: A cross-sectional survey In particular, delays of slightly over 2 months can be tolerated for follow-up skin checks after cSCC or melanoma, but when a patient reports a concerning lesion, they should be seen ideally within a month.
