Abstract

As a new environmentally friendly and recyclable material, recycling construction and demolition waste(CDW) have received extensive attention. If it can be applied in road engineering, it will not only reduce the exploitation of sand and stone, save resources, but also reduce the cost of the project. This is of great significance to the development of highway construction in China. However, compared with natural aggregate, CDW has the disadvantages of low strength and high water absorption. Therefore, there are obvious differences between the CDW subgrade and the traditional subgrade. Based on the existing research results, the basic performance, road performance and settlement degeneration characteristics of CDW in subgrade filling are expounded. Finally, the future research directions are analyzed and prospected, which is helpful to promote the application of construction waste recycling materials in subgrade engineering.
