Abstract

The aim of the experiment was to study the enrichment process, chemical composition and antibacterial activity of tea tree hydrosol. D101 macroporous adsorption resin and AB-8 macroporous adsorption resin were used to enrich the chemical components of tea tree hydrosol. Two etho-aqueous solutions with different concentrations of 50% and 95% were selected as eluting agents. The D101 and AB-8 macroporous adsorption resin columns were eluted with 50% ethanol solution, and then the two resin columns were eluted with 95% ethanol solution. The chemical constituents of the crude extracts were analyzed by GC-MS, and determined the antibacterial activity of the crude extracts. The results showed that the main chemical components of M1-95% crude extract enriched by D101 macroporous adsorption resin were terpine-1-ol, γ-terpinene, 1,8-Cineole and α-terpinene. The main chemical components of M2-95% crude extract enriched by D101 macroporous adsorption resin and again by AB-8 macroporous adsorption resin were terpine-1-ol, γ -terpinene, 1, 8-Cineole and α -terpinene. M1-95% showed strong inhibitory activity against Candida albicans, Bacillus subtilis and Micrococcus luteus. M1-50% showed moderate inhibitory activity against Candida albicans, Bacillus subtilis, Micrococcus luteus and Klebsiella pneumoniae. The study indicates that D101 macroporous adsorption resin has strong enrichment ability for chemical components in tea tree hydrops, while AB-8 macroporous adsorption resin does not enrich other chemical components, so the production workshop does not need to enrich the runoff through AB-8 macroporous adsorption resin again.
