Abstract

China has abundant edible mushroom resources, and the annual production of edible mushroom residue is huge. Edible mushroom residue has high nutritional value and is rich in active substances such as flavonoids, saponins, and sterols, which have certain medicinal value. Developing edible mushroom residue in a reasonable way as feed for livestock and poultry production can significantly improve the production performance of livestock and poultry, improve the immune and antioxidant capacity of livestock and poultry. Part of the edible mushroom residue can also promote the digestive system function of livestock and poultry, affect the structure of intestinal microbiota, improve the digestion and utilization rate of nutrients, have high application research value in animal husbandry. The article aims to analyze the nutritional value and feeding methods of edible mushroom residue, summarize its impact on the economic benefits of livestock and poultry production and breeding, providing reference for the recycling and utilization of edible mushroom residue resources, and providing new insights for solving the problem of protein feed shortage.
