Abstract

The article discusses the development of an inhaled delivery system, iSEND, using nanovesicles loaded with dexamethasone (DEX) to attenuate the cytokine storm in COVID-19 disease. Inhalation of nanoDEX showed improved anti-inflammatory effects with a lower dose compared to intravenous administration, presenting a safe and effective treatment platform for COVID-19.
