Abstract

The major compounds of the essential oil of I T. odorum i were I i -pinene (20.4%), I i -caryophyllene (6.4%), and -humulene (5.6%). The essential oils of I M. hypolampra i were dominated by I i -pinene (36.5 and 41.3%), I i -pinene (23.7 and 24.4%), and germacrene D (14.6 and 5.8%) [[14]]. On the other hand, monoterpene hydrocarbons (5.6%), monoterpene oxygenated (3.9%), sesquiterpene hydrocarbons (61.4%), oxygenated sesquiterpenes (10.4%), and nonterpenes (2.0%) constitute the bulk of the essential oil of I M. chevalieri i . Compounds such as I i -pinene and I i -pinene have previously shown antimicrobial activity against broad-spectrum microorganisms [[15]]. [Extracted from the article]
