Neurodiversity and humanism in autism: An LMIC health care setting perspective.

The article reflects on neurodiversity and humanism in autism from the perspective of a lower-middle-income country (LMIC), specifically India. It offers a look into the insufficient awareness regarding autism in India and the progress of India in reducing the stigma surrounding autism. Emphasis is given on the need to address the medical model of disability reflected on disorders, deficits and diseases that exist within the disabled person by reshaping the environment and society.
