Abstract

The implementation of police duties requires accuracy and speed in handling cases. The limited number of personnel and not commensurate with the task's severity to be carried out requires technical assistance to increase the speed of handling issues. The crime scene can occur anywhere, and sometimes the handling of the incident involves the help of other police personnel other than the personnel on duty at the place. Based on these problems, a community flow monitoring application was created that functions to report the current situation at the location of responsibility and report emergency events that require the assistance of other personnel for handling. This study was made using the A-Star algorithm to calculate the distance of each police personnel from the crime scene and determine the person closest to the crime scene. The results of the test with 10 test Nodes show that the A-Star algorithm in the community flow monitoring application can calculate the exact distance of the case from all police personnel on duty-based on the calculation of the distance, it can be determined which police personnel are closest to the crime scene.
