It has been found that people living with HIV/AIDS (hereafter referred to as HIV/AIDS patients) often suffer from a combination of osteoporosis, the pathogenesis of which is still unclear. The pathogenesis of osteoporosis is still unknown. With the continuous research on intestinal microecology, the dysbiosis of intestinal flora is considered to be one of the pathogenic mechanisms of osteoporosis. Therefore, this paper provides an overview of the research progress on the pathogenesis of osteoporosis in HIV/AIDS patients with intestinal flora and intestinal dysbiosis, with a view to providing new ideas for the treatment and prevention of HIV-related osteoporosis.
