Abstract

The second paper, titled "Design and Analysis of Zeta Converter for Power Factor Correction using Cascade PSO-GSA Tuned PI and Reduced-Order SMC" describes a single-phase power factor correction method employing a DCDC Zeta converter in continuous conduction mode.To increase converter performance, it presents a non-linear cascade control of particle swarm optimization-gravitational search algorithm (PSO-GSA) tuned proportional-integral and sliding mode controller in outer and inner loops. In particular, an optimisation framework is developed that accounts for several processes, including data gathering from various sources, KPI description, and the optimisation procedure itself. Wind farm plan optimization or WFLOP, is a difficult optimisation problem with many constraints. Heuristic optimisation techniques outperformed standard methods in the study.
