Abstract

The value of electromagnetic load is closely related to the current quench characteristics in the tokamak during plasma disruption. The characteristics include the current quench waveform and current quench rate, which will determine the life of the Tokamak device to a certain extent. The spontaneous disruption data of the HI-2A are statistically analyzed by using three different intervals of 100% -40%, 90% -10% and 80% - 20%, and the statistical results are compared and analyzed. The statistical results show that; under the same definition, not only the average current quenching time and current quenching rate distribution have the least difference between 100%-40% and80%-20%, but also the average current quenching time and current quenching rate statistical distribution almost are the same. In addition to the 80%-20% range, the 100% - 40% range can also be used as a suitable range to provide an approximation of the maximum linear average plasma current quenching rate.
