Abstract

In this article, we analyzed technological appropriation modes and subjectivities, which appeared during 2018 Colombian presidential campaign in Twitter. We captured (5) main presidential candidates' twits of the first round through a web crawler, which resulted in 6,487 captured twits. With these results we carried out a content analysis and after that a process of virtual ethnography, which showed campaign enunciation categories, peace agreements, corruption, "castrochismo," and education. We selected seven (7) twits with the larger number of interactions, which amounted 16.361 comments, form which a sample of 4.760 was analyzed. Some of the results refer to the fact that user appropriated the platform sharing memes, fake news, and hashtags to attack candidates, which suggests trolls or bots emergent subjectivities instead of digital citizens. From conclusions, we posed that in Twitter Colombian politics was trivialized and debates were absent. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
