- Reports that threats of industrial action at Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital succeeded in securing extra registered nurses (RN) to cope with chronic staff shortages. Reason hospital management agreed to address the issue of workload levels; Factors that had the potential to put patients' lives at risk.
