Transcriptome Analysis of Shewanella oneidensis MR-1 in Response to Elevated Salt Conditions.

Whole-genomic expression patterns were examined in Shewanella oneidensis cells exposed to elevated sodium chloride. Genes involved in Na+ extrusion and glutamate biosynthesis were significantly up-regulated, and the majority of chemotaxis/motility-related genes were significantly down-regulated.
