Abstract

Indonesia has a large population, but the number of construction workers is unevenly distributed across the country's provinces. Labor and migration plans must be developed to accommodate plans for the construction of a new capital in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to develop a map of the construction workforce in East Kalimantan's regional development. The method used is bibliometric mapping with Vosviewer and quantitative statistical analysis of distribution data from secondary PUPR and BPS databases. One of the findings is that construction work requires an adequate supply of labor to meet the infrastructure development needs of East Kalimantan's new capital. In the Indonesian province of East Kalimantan, a Professional Certification Agency (LSP) in the field of construction services is required to foster competence among the workforce of new SMK and vocational graduates.
