Abstract

The term nanofluid indicates a composition of metallic and non-metallic particles nano-sized (100 nm) in conventional fluid. Due to their excellent thermal and tribological properties, nanofluids are often referred to as potential heat transfer fluids. Recently, researchers have been focusing on nanofluids. An overview of the key publications on nanofluid rheological behavior is presented in this paper. Review article is not only to discuss about the shear rate change and the factors that affect the rheology of nanofluid but also to study factors which impact the rheological behavior of nanofluid. Additionally, the size of the nanoparticle, the type of surfactant, and the external magnetic field are also taken into account. Based on the material review, it's been discovered that Isotropy of particles, accumulation, the limit of the Magnetic field and shear rate have a significant effect on nanofluid behavior. There are particles in the nanofluid that exhibit Newtonian behavior, and there are nanotubes that exhibit non-Newtonian behavior. Additionally, nanofluids display Newtonian fluid at low shear rates, while at higher shear rates, they display non-Newtonian fluid. Additionally, researchers have identified the gaps in the research work which need to be filled out. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
