Abstract

This paper introduces a new high-step-up, non-isolated switched-inductor switched-capacitor DC-DC converter. The proposed converter remarkably integrates switched-capacitor and switched-inductor cells, leading to a significant increase in voltage gain. This unique composite structure not only ensures the continuity of input current, but also successfully minimizes the current ripple and voltage stress across the components, thereby optimizing efficiency. The standout feature of this converter is its singular switch controlled by pulse-width modulation (PWM), which simplifies its operation. A rigorous steady-state operation analysis is conducted, providing a comprehensive understanding of the converter's performance. For validating the theoretical findings, the paper also details a real-world prototype of the converter.
