The effect of a single intraoperative dose of intravenous dexamethasone 8mg on post-cesarean delivery analgesia: a randomised controlled trial. It has positive analgesic effects which are more potent when no intrathecal long acting opioids are used, and when morphine is given intrathecally it provides modest analgesic effects, but is also anti-emetic. We thank Dr Geoghegan [[1]] for his interest in the updated PROSPECT recommendations for postoperative analgesia for elective caesarean delivery [[2]]. [Extracted from the article]
