Abstract
- The article states that protecting crops from animal damage needs efficient planning. Many farmers face similar problems with stripped corn stalks, flooded timberland and rooted pastureland--all signs of the susceptibility of agricultural crops to wildlife damage. But, farmers can help safeguard their crops by properly identifying the culprit and understanding which control methods are most effective. Before implementing any sort of control measures, farmers should remind themselves that the first step in wildlife damage management is proper identification of the animal causing the problem. Control measures may vary for each species.
