Abstract

【Objective】 The present paper aimed to study the spatial-temporal evolution, terrain gradient differentiation characteristic of land use and driving factors of its change in Anning River Basin, which can provide theoretical basis for regional land use planning and land resources management. 【Method】 Based on land use data, natural environment and socio-economic data, the altitude, slope and relief degree of surface were selected to analyze the spatial-temporal evolution characteristics, driving mechanism, terrain gradient differentiation and future scenario simulation of land use in Anning River Basin from 2000 to 2020 using CA-Markov model, PLUS model and terrain distribution index. 【Result】 From 2000 to 2020, woodland and cultivated land were the mainly land use types of Anning River Basin, accounting for over 61.74% and 24.86% respectively. Next were grassland and construction land, accounting for over 8.40% and 1.02% respectively. Water area and unused land were relatively small, accounting for less than 1.13%.From 2000 to 2020, forest land and construction land increased rapidly, while other land types decreased to varying degrees, and the conversion of cultivated land, woodland and grassland to other land types was strong. From 2020 to 2030, there was a sharp decrease in construction land and forest land, while other land types showed a growth trend. Cultivated land, construction land and water area were concentrated in the valley zones with low-middle altitude, while woodland, grassland and unused land were mainly distributed in the mountain areas with middle-high altitude. Altitude, slope and population density were the main driving factors affecting the change of cultivated land, woodland and unused land, while GDP, distance from water area and highway were the main driving factors affecting the change of grassland, water area and construction land. 【Conclusion】 The transformation of land use in Anning River Basin is deeply affected by natural environment and social economic factors, and spatial pattern of land use has significant difference of terrain gradient. So the principle of adjusting measures to local conditions should be followed to promote the harmonious development of man-land relationship. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
