Abstract
- The article present literary criticism of on Maggie O'Farrell's novel "Hamnet". It discusses O'Farrell's reimagining of William Shakespeare's life and art in the novel is a critical intervention; challenging established perceptions of Shakespeare's personal life and his work. O'Farrell's approach is likened to Shakespeare's own technique of radical excision; and the concept of creative criticism as a genre born of the desire for a renewed encounter with a text.
