Abstract

The construction industry creates a lot of employment, contributing to the country's economic growth. As per the statistics, more than 50 million people work in this sector every year in India. Unfortunately, this sector is one the most dangerous environment to work in. Physical hazards are the most commonly occurring hazards on construction sites leading to potential health problems and injuries to workers on site. Monitoring construction site health is very important in predicting the physical hazards and reducing the injuries of workers. Real-time monitoring of all the environmental parameters is a challenging task, the proposed system gives a solution to monitor various parameters like temperature, humidity, fire, smoke, gas, and vibrations in the site using various sensors. LoRa and internet-based architecture help implement reliable, efficient, and low-power solutions to monitor all the physical parameters without any manual effort and provide wireless access to this data to the managers from anywhere across the globe. Customized hardware is designed to achieve the purpose of better performance, small size, and low-power consumption. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
