Abstract

Application of BIM in the context of Construction 4.0 in the Oberbürgermeister‐Karl‐Lehr bridge project The construction industry is facing new demands, such as the creation of a more sustainable building culture and the necessary increase in efficiency. These challenges can only be solved with the help of modern planning and construction methods such as Building Information Modelling, which opens the way to Building 4.0. Due to the increasing requirements for implementing the BIM method in infrastructure projects, it is important for companies to build up experience. For this reason, the Max Bögl Group decided to use the BIM method in the production and construction phase of the Oberbürgermeister‐Karl‐Lehr bridge project. In addition to an overview of the project, this paper provides a summary of the BIM methods used and the lessons learned. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
