Abstract

For more than two decades, hydrogen-fueled internal combustion engines (H2ICEs) have been the subject of research. Internal combustion fuels based on hydrogen are a viable option for the future. A number of research and development projects have resulted in incredible effectiveness numbers while keeping emissions well below administrative cutoff lines and achieving acceptable explicit force yields. These efforts recently has been concentrated on larger applications, such as marine engines. This is mostly due to the fact that while a Fuel Cell operates better at lower loads, a hydrogen combustion engine performs better at larger loads. The paper discusses the advantages of H2ICEs as well as why they are unlikely to be a viable alternative. This research also looks at the progress made in charting the expected effects of a direct hydrogen infusion, in-chamber heat transfer, demonstrating, and burning systems. The goal of this study is to illustrate the different benefits that hydrogen offers for the future of IC engines. This research article also discusses the difficulties that hydrogen presents, as well as various approaches of overcoming them. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
