Abstract
- This article seeks to analyze Geraldo Vandré's musical itinerary based on his discography, composed of five LPs and other compilations and singles. The focus of the text is the trait of love present in his various works, be it the love of a woman or the more general love, dedicated to the people or the nation, understood as his lover or companion. The development of the work took place in a chronological perspective, from its first LP produced in Brazil, in 1964, to the last, already in times of exile, produced in France and released in Brazil in 1973. It was a project that aimed to favor knowledge of a brilliant composer and singer, who enchanted a left-wing generation before the AI5 blackout. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
