Abstract

The Toolkit is intended to foster both students' self-reflection and mentoring conversations with peers, staff, and faculty in order to deepen students' Elon Experiences. Mentored experiences can effectively and meaningfully support student development and learning. The more students see peers, faculty, and staff engaging in this practice with positive and beneficial outcomes, the more likely students are to also engage. Finally, an additional venue for early exposure to the FIRE SP 2 sp Toolkit can be through a new faculty orientation program where early-career faculty can adopt the use of this toolkit to help frame meaningful student conversations.
