2-(4-Naphtho[1,2- d ]furan-2-yl-1,3-thiazol-2-yl)-ethanenitrile in Heterocyclic Synthesis.

Coumarin, thiazole, and 2,3-dihydro-1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives were synthesized from 2-(4-naphtho[1,2- d ]furan-2-yl-1,3-thiazol-2-yl)ethanenitrile and different reagents. Structures of the new compounds were elucidated on the basis of elemental analysis, spectral data, and alternative methods of synthesis whenever possible. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
