Abstract
- The article discusses how educators perceive state-mandated standardized tests and the pressure associated with them. It highlights that a majority of educators do not find these tests useful in the classroom despite feeling pressure to ensure students perform well on them. It discusses a shift in thinking about the value of standardized tests and a desire to measure school success using other factors like graduation rates and school climate surveys.
