Abstract

It is shown that mode coupling in the dynamic glass theory results in stationary state that may be treated as a certain non-ergodic equilibrium system (or system with non-Hibbs statistics). In statistical terms, the non-ergodicity looks as a dependence of the system particular configuration energy on the mean values of system variables (i.e. on its correlation functions), so that some "memory" occurs. Thus, besides usual thermodynamic coordinates (pressure, temperature, concentration) the non-ergodic equilibrium system may be characterized by additional parameter that corresponds to the non-ergodicity. The mean grain size and phase dispersity in the metallography are the examples. For the binary solution, we suggest mean square chemical potential spatial fluctuation as this parameter.
