Synthesis and characterization of some new metal complexes of ((4-methoxy benzoyl) carbamothioyl) valine (MCV) with some of their biological activity.

In this study was synthesized (MCV) ((4-methoxybenzoyl) carbamothioyl) valine by reacting (4-methoxybenzoyl chloride) with ammonium thiocyanate in a ratio of (1:1) mole and adding it to 1mol of valine. the elements thoroughly analyzed (C,H,N,S), and FTIR spectroscopy and (UV-Vis) measurements of ligands (MCV). The metal ion compounds were synthesized and characterized using (FTIR) and (UV-vis) spectra, as well as magnetic susceptibility measurements, and atomic absorption of elements and conductivity measurements, and some complexes has paramagnetic from magnetic susceptibility characteristics, and non-ionic from molar-conductivity measurements. The bioactivity results of the derived ligand and some of the complexes indicated different results inhibition two types of bacteria and one type of fungi. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
