Abstract

The article discusses the increasing use of social media among youth and its implications for English teaching and learning, highlighting the potential for social media to enhance the English language arts (ELA) curriculum. It focuses on the digital activist literacies of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) teens and how these literacies contribute to the development of critical consciousness. Culturally digitized pedagogy (CDP) is introduced as a model to support teachers.
