UJI AKTIVITAS ANTBAKTERI FRAKSI TUMBUHAN BAJAKAH KUNING (ARCANGELISIA FLAVA (L.) MERR.) TERHADAP PROPIONIBACTERIUM ACNES.

Bajakah kuning (Arcangelisia Flava (L.) Merr.) a plant typical of Central Kalimantan is used for infectious diseases caused by bacteria. This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of the bajakah kuning fraction against Propionibacterium acnes bacteria. This research was carried out in three stages, extraction and phytochemical testing of the bajakah kuning, testing the antibacterial activity of the bajakah kuning fraction against Propionibacterium acnes bacteria and determining the inhibitory power of all fractions. Bajakah kuning was extracted by the shoxletation method using n-hexane, ethyl acetate, butanol and 96% ethanol as a solvent. Antibacterial activity test using disc diffusion method with concentrations of 20%, 40%, 80% and 100%. Data analysis using One Way Anova and Duncan test. The results showed that the nhexane, ethyl acetate, butanol and ethanol fractions of bajakah kuning had antibacterial activity against Propionibacterium acnes. The results of the different fractional inhibition zone test obtained P-value <0.05. It can be concluded that the nhexane, ethyl acetate, butanol and ethanol fractions have antibacterial activity.
