Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction: Advances in management.

The article emphasizes that about 50% of heart failure presentations are due to heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), a highly heterogeneous disease with more comorbidities than heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). Recent advances, including the use of sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors and patient phenotype profiling, are changing the management of HFpEF.
