Abstract
- As mentioned, gut microbiota partially controls secretion of satiety-regulating hormones, but in turn these hormones can control the microbial habitat in the gut. If gut microbiota affect CNS functions through neurochemicals, this is likely to be in an indirect manner, acting on the vagus nerve or the enteric nervous system (ENS) [[19]]. The gut microbiota is a complex ecosystem of microorganisms present in the gastrointestinal tract. DEVELOPMENT OF THE GUT MICROBIOTA Like any other form of life, the gut microbiota has to grow into its "adult" form. [Extracted from the article]
