Mental Health is a fundamental human right and is an integral part of health. in Latin america, there is an imbalance between public spending on Mental Health and the burden of diseases related to mental disorders. in argentina, research suggests that most people who require psychological care do not receive it. economic income and access to health services determine people's Mental Health. therefore, alternatives must be sought to improve the scope of Mental Health services. the purpose of this manuscript is to present the alternatives being worked on to improve the scaling of psychological interventions: taskshared psychotherapy and Guided self-Help. implications for the local context are discussed.
