Abstract
- Wind and waves are important factors affecting the safety of the wind power supporting structure of offshore wind farms. In order to determine the design waves of an offshore wind farm in Rudong, the atmospheric model WRF were adopted to simulate the process of tropical storm and joint CCMP wind field data set as a drive wind field, by which the SWAN model was used to simulate the wave process in the sea area of Rudong wind farm in the past 20 years. The wind speed and wave elements in different return periods were obtained. The results show that the combination of WRF simulated tropical storm results and CCMP wind field can obtain more accurate wind field and more reasonable calculated wave results.
