Abstract

With the large number of offshore wind farms put into operation in China, the adoption of reasonable and effective foundation scour protection measures has an important impact on the safety and stability of wind turbine structure. The in-situ sludge solidification protection scheme and construction technology for scour protection of monopile foundation were studied and proposed based on an offshore wind farm with silt sediment. The laboratory tests of silt with different moisture content and different amount of curing agent were carried out. And the in-situ sludge solidification field trials for scour protection were completed by using two schemes of "curing before pile driving" and "pile driving before curing". The strength test of solidified soil samples taken on site and the scanning test of the scour protection effect around the foundation show that the implementation of in-situ sludge solidification for monopile foundation scour protection of offshore wind turbines is effective.
