Abstract: The article provides information on Traveler-based Genomic Surveillance (TGS) program of the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) which was developed to provide early warning of new variants entering the U.S. by collecting samples from arriving international travelers. Topics include an overview of the program, investigation and outcomes, and preliminary conclusions and actions.
